I am disabled. Can my carer come with me for free?

Yes. There are two ways of doing this. If you are a Hynt member (Hynt is a national scheme in Wales that works with theatres and event organisers to enable Hynt cardholders to have a ticket free of charge for a personal assistant or carer) you will need to enter your membership number on the show page of the Seetickets website to access the free carer ticket. Only one carer seat per person can be allocated.

If you are travelling from outside Wales or are not a Hynt member please email Seetickets customer service so they can hold your tickets. You will then need to bring proof of disability - either Disability Living Allowance (DLA) or Personal Independence Payment (PIP) - to our box office prior to the performance. We regret that Blue Badges cannot be accepted as proof.

If you would like to join Hynt please visit the Hynt website where you will find a range of information about the scheme.

If you have any additonal requirements not covered here please email us via info@thecastle.wales.

Do you have any performances for those with special needs or hearing disabilities?

Yes. The performance of Santa's Wish on Sunday 11th December at 12pm is a Relaxed Performance so that patrons with special needs can enjoy the show. We will also have a BSL (British Sign Language) interpreter for this perfomance.

Can we bring babies to the show?

Both Santa’s Wish and The Nutcracker are suitable for all ages. Castellana is suitable for ages 16+ as it contains nudity, so children and babies cannot be admitted.
Children aged between 3-15 years of age require a ticket; babies/toddlers aged 2 and under do not require their own seat/ticket but must remain seated on an adult's lap throughout the performance.

What toilet facilities do you have?

We will have excellent portable toilets on site, including disabled facilities.

What time does the show start – can we be admitted if we’re late?

Late arrivals will be admitted at a suitable point in the show to minimise disturbance to fellow audience members. Please see the Times, Tickets and Prices page for each show and ensure that you arrive in plenty of time to soak up the atmosphere in advance of the show starting!

Can we bring dogs?

No, dogs cannot be admitted unless they are Guide Dogs.

What time will the show end?

The Nutcracker performance runs for 1hr 10 minutes with no interval.
Santa’s Wish runs for 1hr 10 minutes with no interval.
Castellana runs a total of 2hrs - each half is 50 mins and there is a 20 minute interval.
As the starting times vary for each show, please check the start time of your particular performance on the Times, Tickets & Prices page of each show to ascertain the ending time.

What disabled facilities do you have?

The Spiegeltent is fully accessible and has an area for wheelchair seating with carers. Please advise us in advance if you are a wheelchair user on 02921 520052.

What Covid precautions are you taking?

We will follow Government guidance regarding Covid 19.

Will the spiegeltent be heated? what should i wear?

The Spiegeltent is a solid wooden building and will be heated. You should wear clothing warm enough for the outdoor conditions, with the ability to remove layers as you would in any indoor venue.

I want to bring a large group of people - how do i book?

For groups of more than 15 people please call us on 02921 520052 or email info@thecastle.wales and we will be delighted to arrange it for you and answer any queries you may have! Groups of 15 or less can be booked with Seetickets by going to the 'Times, Tickets & Prices' page of the show you would like to book, and you will see a 'Get Your Tickets' button at the bottom.
